Hey Professor, I know.
One highly dangerous plant is the Aconite, which has large flowers on it, and is also known as Monkshood or Wolfsbane. The last name is used becuase it is a key ingredient in the Wolfsbane Potion, but if this plant is eaten alone, it can cause death.
Another plant is Alihotsy, which has large leaves, and if eaten causes one to be hysterical, though I don't know any good qualties it can produce...
And another, though I don't know if you would consider it poisonous... it the Bubotuber plant, which looks like a giant black slug... ew... but when you come in contact with the pus inside of it your skin will erupt with hundreds of boils. It's pretty gross, I saw it happen to my grandma once, when she forgot her gloves inside. But the good thing about bubotuber pus is that when made right, it can cure acne!
(I mean, why did you think my grandma was getting it, only to cure my brother's foul acne problem.)

Very good Trogdor! Though your answer contained a lot of... commentary, you did well. You only provided one truly poisonous plant; however, you did give two additional dangerous plants.
Let's say...10 points to Ravenclaw.
Now, class. The second poisonous plant is Hellebore. Used for protecting livestock and is thought to help with purifying the body. Hellebore is also an ingredient in the Draught of Peace and used for invisibility.
While we're on this subject, does anyone know any other dangerous plants?

Well, there are plants like Belladonna, like the essence we have in our herbology kits, and there is Devil's Snare. Also the Mandrake can be dangerous if you don't use earmuffs. You should have seen my Uncle Jimmy once... *blushes and looks around, realizing she is rambling a little*
Oh, and don't forget the Whomping Willow! *Points out Greenhouse window, indicating the violent tree on the grounds*

I knew hanging out in my grandma's garden would do me some good. So what's up for tomorrow's lesson?
